The performer tells the story of a magic rabbit who was very sad. Unlike other magic rabbits, he didn’t have a magic hat to sit in.
A colorful plaque measuring approx. 12 1/2″ x 5″ is displayed, showing an illustrated picture of a full-length magic rabbit. The reverse side of the plaque is also shown. The plaque is inserted into an envelope which has a cut-out window and the children see the rabbit’s face through this during the routine.
Next, a strip of hinged cards is shown, each of the four sections illustrating a different colored magic hat, black, red, green and blue. The children assist in selecting one of the colored hats, and after some magic words ( or magic waving ) the “selected” red hat image is seen to have vanished, leaving a blank space.
In picking up the envelope, the plaque is slowly removed. The rabbit is now sitting inside a magic hat, -the chosen one! The envelope is seen to be otherwise empty.
A lovely silk-screened effect for kid shows. Easy to do and easy to set and reset. and with full audience participation.
