Adair’s Clip-A-Color

A Funtime exclusive from the fertile mind of Ian Adair.

There must be times when you want a spectator to select a color – a colored silk – a colored ball etc. This ‘strip’ has been made to force the color you want – from 4 different ones. And, there’s no fake-counting here – the spectator simply selects the one he or she wants. No Force, and no Multiple Outs.

A strip is introduced and shown to have four large squares running along its length. These are boldly numbered 1 to 4 The performer states that on the reverse side are four solid colored squares.  A spectator is asked to select one of the numbers freely. A clip is attached to the top edge of this numbered square. When the strip is reversed, the clip at that number displays the color you planned to force. This strip can be used on its own as a forcing device or can be part of a prediction.

We supply the strip made from stiff cardboard measuring 25.5 cm in length. This strip is specially designed to stand upright for display, yet pack flat for storage or transport. Along with this you get all the accessories to “force” any one of four colors, plus “prediction cards” for any of four colors, allowing you to change the results for different performances.

A utility item that can be presented by itself as a direct and sure-fire prediction, or for use as an accessory in a larger routine. The instructions give you several presentation ideas, including some nice ones for children from Ian Adair.
